How long do they last?
Eyelash extensions are grafted to your natural eyelashes and last the life of the individual lash. Your natural eyelashes have a life cycle of about 8 weeks. That means your natural lashes continuously fall out, re-grow and fall out again 8 weeks later. As it is difficult to determine what stage of the cycle an individual ash may be in, you can expect to loose a couple of lashes in your first week. The rest will gradually fall out with your natural lashes over the next 6 – 8 weeks.
How often will I need refills?
Refills are available up to 5 weeks after your initial application although most people prefer to have them done every 2-3 weeks to keep them looking full and luscious.
Can I wear mascara?
Absolutely, but most people find they don’t need to. Just don’t use waterproof mascara or oil based makeup removers as it may affect the bonding agent on your lashes and reduce their life span. You should also be very gentle when you are cleansing yor eyes so you aren’t pulling on the extensions.
Can I go swimming?
Pools, saunas and the ocean are no problem for your lashes. In fact eyelash extensions reduce the need for mascara!! No more runny black eyes while you are splashing about. Just save the water fun for at least 24 hours after your application to ensure the glue has bonded properly.
Will I feel them?
When applied correctly, most people feel nothing at all. Eyelash extensions are also available in a variety of lengths so are even suitable for people who wear glasses.
